Assessment Grant Series

In the late 1990’s the Center for Professional Development decided to increase the evaluation of teaching courseware on the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona campus. Overall, it awarded $21,000 in three grants over three years to the Institute for Advanced Systems Studies to improve its assessment instruments for the ISGE curriculum.

1. $7,000 competitive grant from the CPP Center for Professional Development (SOAP 1) entitled, “Formative and Summative Assessment of the Integrated Science General Education (ISGE),” May 1997

2.  $7,000 competitive grant from the CPP Center for Professional Development (SOAP 2) entitled, “Pioneering ‘Seamless’ and ‘Evolutionary’ Assessment Methods for the Integrated Science General Education (ISGE) Program,” May, 1998

3. $7,000 Third Year Renewal of SOAP grant from the CPP Center for Professional Development (SOAP 2) entitled, “Pioneering ‘Seamless’ and ‘Evolutionary’ Assessment Methods for the Integrated Science General Education (ISGE) Program,” June, 1999.
