Clustering Strategies

Because of their very specific nature, and because of the many ISP combinations that can be linked (even the initial 80ISPs x 80ISPx yields >6,000 possible combinations), there is even a greater need to find inherent ways to group the LPs that number in the many hundreds.

We emphasize the need for this clustering strategy to be “inherent.” That is, it must arise from the nature of the individual LPs themselves and NOT from merely the human need for clustering to make the lists more manageable. If the clustering is rigorously kept to the nature of the LP itself, then it opens up the possibility of the clustering being significant “information” itself about the dynamics of the network of (or system of systems of) the entire SPT model.
