Definition/Insights

Because they describe the specific influence of one ISP on another, or one on a group, or a group on one ISP, these statements of influence are called “LINKAGES.” They are essentially  the “links,” “lines,” or “edges” in a network diagram of connected ISPs

It is most important to honor the intent and limitations of Linkage Propositions. They are explicitly called “PROPOSITIONS” to respect the fact (and make sure all users remember) that they have been found in some systems, even have empirical evidence in some systems, but that they may not be true of all cases of interaction between ISPs in all cases. In this way, each LP is a call for more research. Is it true of any other case study or phenomena, or discipline? What is its range of validity?
